History of C & C Construction Mgmt.

Vincent Celenza, founded C & C Construction Mgmt., Inc. in 1990. His strong family background of Italian stone masons peaked his interest in construction early on in life. He attended Spring Garden College of Engineering in Philadelphia and graduated with a degree in Architecture and Construction Engineering. After graduating in 1981, Vincent attained valuable experience working in various facets of the industry. In the mid-1980s Vincent worked as a project manager/expeditor at Bachman Construction, a midsize company based just outside of Philadelphia, where he gained knowledge and hands-on experience particularly in the skilled nursing.

In 1990, after gaining the necessary knowledge, experience, and confidence, Vincent opened his own firm, C & C Construction Management, Inc. C & C’s primary source of work continued, with similar types of facilities and the client base with whom he had established previous relationships with over the years.

For the past 32 years, C & C Construction has worked on numerous projects ranging from $ 500,000 add-a-bed programs to $50 million new construction/renovation and addition projects for senior living facilities including independent, assisted, memory care, and skilled nursing. Vincent Celenza’s passion for this industry motivates him to maintain a “hands on approach” on each and every project.

For the past 20 years, over 94% of our company’s revenue has come directly from Senior Living and Skilled Nursing type projects.

New additions and renovations to existing occupied healthcare. New addition constructed with structural steel and composite concrete floor.

Owner: Actors Fund Home
Architect: Spiezle Architectural Group
Contract: $24.4 Million
Project Completion: July 2019

The Atrium At Red Bank

Red Bank, NJ

This project included (140) senior living units throughout a 14-story tower and new 8-story mid-rise containing Independent Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Units. The 8-story addition utilized a poured in place concrete structure method to match the floor heights of the existing adjacent 14-story tower. Our approach involved real-time curing results utilizing the Concrete Maturity Testing method which reduced the schedule and resulted in the project being nominated for the 50th Annual New Jersey Concrete Awards.

The complete renovation of the 14-story occupied tower included a new four pipe hydronic HVAC system, fire alarm system and the removal and replacement of the complete exterior curtain wall system. To complete this work, a temporary insulated aluminum curtain wall including temporary heat and air conditioning units was constructed  in each individual resident room from the 4th level to the 14th level to allow the residents to remain in their unit during construction.

The 345’ waterfront bulkhead and dock on the Navesink River also required complete reconstruction as part of this project allowing the residents to take river cruises on the facility’s Pontoon boats.

The new amenities for this (140) unit Senior Living Facility consist of Dining Venues, Library, Billiards, Salon, Fitness Area, Outside Gardens, Putting Green, and Resident Valet Parking Lot.

BIM Modeling

We use Building Information Modeling (BIM) during the design phase to aid in planning and problem-solving and during the construction phase to model coordination of all building systems and minimize conflicts.

C & C uses Procore to organize communication across the entire project team, including the owner, architects, consultants and subcontractors to streamline RFI submittals and drawing approvals and to provide a weekly look-ahead schedule to all team members.

Site Cameras

C & C uses site cameras for surveillance, capturing timelapse, as well as capturing video for each project. Site cameras also allow owners, and offsite workers to see live progress of the project.

Ground Improvement Technologies & Alternate Foundation Methods

360 Progress and walkthroughs

360 walkthroughs give both off site workers and owners a fully immersive walkthrough of the entire facility during construction. This technology allows C & C to see progress, make important decisions while offsite, and collaborate with all trades on current field conditions.
