Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Superintendent to serve as the primary technical lead and site authority for our construction projects. You will oversee the daily operations of the job site, ensuring that safety, quality, and scheduling standards are met without compromise. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can anticipate risks, communicate milestones effectively to stakeholders, and lead diverse teams of subcontractors toward a successful project delivery.
Qualifications
Education: College Degree in Construction Management, Building Trades, or equivalent field experience.
Certification: OSHA 30-Hour Certification is required.
Technical Expertise: Ability to expertly interpret blueprints, specifications, and CAD documents.
Software Proficiency:
Required: MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and scheduling software (MS Project or Outbuild).
Preferred: Hands-on experience with Procore.
Experience: Proven track record in the Senior Living Market is preferred.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and "take-charge" communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Leadership: Direct all daily on-site activities, including the layout and coordination of all subcontractors and third-party vendors.
Safety & Compliance: Act as the primary safety officer on-site. Maintain a zero-incident environment by enforcing OSHA, C&C, and site-specific safety policies.
Inspections & Quality Control: Schedule and manage all field inspections with local authorities, third-party quality control engineers, and surveyors.
Scheduling: Develop and manage the construction schedule to ensure timely completion. Lead the creation of two-week look-aheads for ownership updates.
Communication: Lead daily/weekly subcontractor meetings and participate in (or lead) owner and design team meetings.
Documentation: Maintain precise daily work logs, generate RFIs based on field conditions, and record detailed meeting minutes.
